Welcome to the Restoration Projects Map - Home Page

The Restoration Projects Map is a statewide collection of information on restoration projects in Montana. It can be used by agencies, businesses and citizens to search for specific restoration projects, inquire about funding information for specific projects, locate areas identified for future restoration, and find organizations working in a geographic area of interest.

The Restoration Projects Map and associated data is free to users. Users can navigate to areas of interest and explore or query information on the restoration projects. The map includes ongoing or completed restoration projects started in 2006 – present, and areas identified as needing restoration work in the future. All projects are identified as points regardless of their size. A query using the search or identify tool, will return data on project name and purpose, primary contact, funding, and more. On the map, users can turn on and off features of interest including the type of projects interested in viewing, base maps, jurisdictional lines, and more. Users can print or export maps and tabular data. The Restoration Projects Map currently includes approximately 10,000 restoration site locations.

The Restoration Reports page allows users to download or print project summaries without going through the map. All reports are in PDF format. In addition to the summary reports, data records can be downloaded by county, legislative district and/or project type.

See the Disclaimer and the About page for project assumptions and limitations and detailed information on project data.
